Chai the Cat

All hail the mighty Chai, Queen of all cats!

Yeah. Not really.

Name: Chai
Breed: Siamese/Ragdoll mix
Color: Cream with Lilac points
Birthday: Approx. late spring of 2012
History: Adopted at approximately 6 months after supposedly growing up ferel.
Personality: Completely and totally chill. You could probably cut this cat's paws off without her putting up much of a fight. At the same time, she's tough, athletic, and very, very dynamic.
Accomplishments/Awards:
Successfully survives in a household pretty much ruled by dogs
Successfully keeps the area very rodent-free...or at least live-rodent-free...
Probably the only cat in the area who enjoys hiking the AT

Chai is a confident, puffy little cat who is adored by all. She enjoys padding on tummies, cuddling up in adorable balls, hiking the AT, and playing with the broom, but first and foremost, she loves to eat. Oh, she LOVES to eat. and eat and eat.

Novel, like everyone else, loves Chai. He loves to hold her in his mouth and suck on her head. And weird as it is, she doesn't seem to mind. I am not kidding or exaggerating when I say that I have walked into a room to see Chai sitting calmly on the floor with Novel calmly standing over her with her entire head in his mouth. Other times they play together, although, admittedly, Chai's overly relaxed nature encourages Novel to treat her a little too much like one of his stuffed animals. Thankfully Novel is generally gentle (as far as dogs go) with his stuffed animals, but while he doesn't usually grind them to shreds, he is very fond of chewing them like a big wad of gum. And he does the same thing to this poor long suffering cat. Although watching them, I can't help but be convinced now and then that she must actually like it to some extent...like a chiropractic adjustment or something. She lays there cool as a cucumber until she's done, and then simply gets up and leaves, and Novel takes the hint and leaves her alone.

Anyway, as I said, Chai is loved by all. and with good reason. :)
